Steps

You can export your Magic Patterns design to Figma within seconds.

Generate a design and click on export in the top right corner. Then 'Export to Figma'.

Copy the 'layerId'.

Within Figma, go to the actions button at the bottom, then 'Plugins & widgets' > then search for 'Magic Patterns' and run the Plugin.

If you prefer, you can also install the plugin here.

Copy paste in the 'layerId' and click 'import.' In the center of the file, you should see your design within Figma.

You can also use the hotkey “Option + F” to export to Figma.

Export a Design for Mobile

Magic Patterns designs are generally responsive by default. To export the mobile view to Figma, first click on the mobile icon in top bar. Then, export to Figma as normal by going to the menu bar and clicking “Export to Figma”.

Exporting Multiple Designs into Figma

When you export a design to Figma, Magic Patterns captures a static snapshot of the current view. This means if you want to export multiple pages or screens, you’ll need to trigger the export for each one individually. If you want to export several screens at once, the easiest way is to bring them all into the canvas first. From there, you can export a full layout in a single step.

Why Designs Lose Interactivity in Figma

When you export from Magic Patterns to Figma, the design is converted into a static snapshot of the current code. Magic Patterns is powered by code, which allows for interactivity such as routing, hover states, and dynamic behavior. Figma, on the other hand, uses a visual data model based on vector graphics and layout primitives. As a result, interactivity does not carry over. You’ll retain layout, styling, and structure, but the design will behave as a static series of “Figma layers” rather than an interactive interface.
